My League.

Commie

From rhiannonstone by way of kitiara.

  1. Choose five to seven characters.
  2. They may be from books, movies, comics, TV shows, games, and real life—no traditional superheroes, though
  3. They may be from any place on the space-time continuum, and any plane of existence—characters do not need to exist within the same era and country as in the original
  4. You must identify the recruiter, the leader, and the villain, and there must be at least one female
  5. Optional: You may identify their primary means of transport (like Nemo's Nautilus)

With that in mind, my League of Extraordinary Gentlemen:

Leader:Me. Hey, nothing in the rules says I can't, and I am my own super hero.
Recruiter:Lee Marvin as Maj. John Reisman from The Dirty Dozen. No super powers, but dude, it's Lee Marvin.
Villain:Orson Welles as Harry Lime, from Graham Green's The Third Man. A worthy opponent.
Wheelman:Angela Bassett as Mace, from Strange Days. Cooler than Sarah Conner or Ellen Ripley, and a damn fine driver too.
Swordsman:Toshiro Mifune as Sanjuro Kuwabatake from Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo.
Gunman:Alec Baldwin as Lamont Cranston, The Shadow. Because The Shadow is cool enough to overcome Alec Baldwin's lack of coolness. Although he did get the character about right. And between those twin .45s and the ability to cloud men's minds, just the guy for sneaking in and lighting shit up.
Brain:Christopher Walken as Johnny Smith from The Dead Zone. You just gotta' have a Christopher Walken in there somewhere, and having a psychic detective on hand is always... handy.
Leader's Girlfriend:Rita Hayworth, as Gilda, from Gilda. Hey, someone's got to light my cigarettes, and you try asking Toshiro Mifune for a light.

I'm using Mozilla. I checked with IE as well, the same bug pops up.

Lynx works fine, oddly enough. :)

Are you sure you don't have one too many /tr's or /td's or in the wrong order?

I suppose I -could- blame the auto-generated style I'm using.

Oh yeah, that's right. Some of LJ's styles attempt to munge tables, unsuccessfully if you leave out certain optional tags.
